Hours were spent making a candle to give to her best friend for her wedding. Ginny had created a small bride and groom to stand side by side. They even resembled Rory and Sue.
She left it on the table overnight, not sure how she was going to wrap her gift without breaking something.
That morning she got up and went back to her work table and found her candle had been lit and left to burn completely destroying her work. She was livid.
She heard snickering behind her and turned to see her brother holding a box of matches.

About Tessa
My name is Tessa Dean and I am an author and blogger. My writing styles vary and I love writing using prompts.
I am also writing my first book, a Memoir entitled "Government Property - A Memoir of a Military Wife". This is being published on the blog rather than the traditional way. I am putting up chapters as I go along. I keep my blog filled with useful content, stories, and poems. Plenty to keep you busy. I have also been interviewed by blogs and had other posts published on many different blogs. I also wrote a series of articles on Bipolar Disorder for IBPF (International Bipolar Foundation).
I am in my 60’s and disabled which allows me plenty of time to write to my heart’s content.
I live in southern New Jersey and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild is a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps.
Dear Tessa,
Methinks the little monster had better run like the wind. I felt her pain.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Thanks Rochelle! Can you imagine doing all that work and having it destroyed. Trying to work my way back into writing again.

Tessa, I think anything valuable had better be locked up away from that child hereafter. They also better prevent him from having matches. He might be a young pyromaniac. Either that or he’s just mean which isn’t good either. 😦 Good story and well written. 🙂

Thank you! You might be right about the pyromaniac LOL! There is something to be said for locks. 🙂

Sometimes people (especially little brothers) DO NOT THINK. Well done.

Wow, pranking between siblings is normal…but that’s just mean! I hope she gets him back and good 🙂

Thank you for reading. I am against pranks. Even funny ones. I always stayed away from coworkers who liked to prank each other.

Oh, man, that is NOT good! It’s the sort of “prank” that isn’t. Good one. I could feel her pain and anger.

Thank you! I can’t imagine having that happen to me. I am so against pranks. I don’t find them funny and feel so sorry for the one being pranked.

The biggest issue is that most “pranks” aren’t even funny and are too often hurtful or harmful.

You are so right about that! I refuse to be part of them.
