Mondays Finish the Story – August 10th, 2015
Welcome to Mondays Finish the Story!
It’s a mystery to me!
This is a unique flash fiction challenge where we provide you with a new photo each week, and the first sentence of a story. Your challenge is to finish the story using 100-150 words, not including the sentence provided. Don’t forget to use the opening sentence… This challenge runs from Monday to Sunday! Get creative and have fun finishing the story!
My thanks today to J.A. over at Living Author Society for suggesting a topic for this week’s challenge.
Please include the photo with your bit of flash and a link back to this post. Do not forget to click on the blue frog and add your link so that others can enjoy your story too! Now let’s have some fun!
Finish the story begins with: “Where did they go?”
Please feel free to upload your story by clicking on the little blue frog below to add your story to the list!
These is actually part 2 of Hide and Seek. You can read part 1 here.

“Where did they go?
Jenny looked to John Barker, the cowboy. This was all his fault. He distracted her and the boys disappeared again.
“Look Jenny, they can’t have gone far. Wait here and I will ride over to the ruins just in case they got curious and went in and got lost.” John got to the old ruins on the other side of the property. He dismounted and disappeared inside one of the openings.
She watched John lead the boys out of the ruin and put them both on his horse and led them back. “They were lost in there! I doubt they will do that again.”
“Don’t you ever do that again! No more hide and seek.”
“We’re sorry!”
“John, I have to get these two home and cleaned up before their parents arrive home or I just might be a nanny without a job.”
I’m glad the boys were found. Hopefully she doesn’t lose her job. Nicely done Tessa.

I am not used to writing for the light side so to speak. My stories are usually dark. Not necessarily monsters, but creepy.
