Hidey Hole
by Teresa Dean Smeigh copyright August 2015
“I see absolutely everything.”
“Let me see, let me see!” Pop pushes Billy trying to get in to see closer.
“Patience Pop, let me get the angle just right so we get the best view.”
“Let ME see, Billy,” pop almost shouts in his haste.
“Sshh Pop, someone may come in and hear us. You’ll get your turn soon.”
A door bangs and both men jump guiltily away from the little hole they drilled to make a peep-hole through the wooden deer’s eye.
Agnes rushes out and hugs both men to her. “You guys did a lovely job hanging the deer in the Ladies Room. I just love it!”
“May I use the Ladies Room?” a sweet voice asks.
Agnes says,”Of course dearie, let me show you where it is.”
She leads her off and both men fight over who gets to watch first.
I hope Agnes finds out soon why they were so keen to help her, the creeps…

So do I. And the prompt provides an ideal springboard for creepy, too 🙂

If I can find a scary, creepy story out of a prompt I am happy.

What dirtbags! Great story as it shows the worst in people. Thank goodness they aren’t all like this.

Teresa – you had me laughing here with this one! Never thought of a story with peeping Tom’s when I wrote that opening line. 🙂 Thank you for writing for the Mondays Finish the Story challenge and be well…. ^..^

Ah… a most disgusting ulterior motive to help…. creepy, indeed. Clever use of the prompt!

One of the things I enjoy about participating in challenges like this is the variety and different perspectives that emerge in the stories. This is great!

I am sure that they would probably give themselves away fairly soon. They talk too much. 🙂
