Sparkling Coyote
Nightmare in blue shiny silk
Knocked hard at the door.

Unanswered knock, why?
Cold fingers, turning frozen.
A Necromance Comedy?

Pam eyed the door knob,
waiting for it to turn soon.
She forgot the lock.

He knocked hard again,
waiting for her to answer.
Pam peered out peep hole.

Sparkling Coyote
Nightmare in blue shiny silk?
How silly was that sight?

Knocking on her door
Cold fingers, turning frozen.
Pam just watched the knob.

No fingers to turn,
Needed to draw attention,
An unanswered knock!

He knocked hard again,
waiting for her to answer.
Pam said not a word.

Still unanswered knock!
What is with this chick? Oh my!
Freezing out here, please?

Pam reached out for knob,
How silly am I being?
And opened the door.

Aunt Sylvia? What’s up?
Thought it twas a Coyote!
A nightmare in blue!

Pam I am freezing!
Where are your glasses girlie?
Let me in the door!

I was scared you see.
I thought I saw a bluish
silk dress on four legs.

I am sorry you
froze while I couldn’t see clear.
Please forgive me dear.

Shut the door will you,
While I get my glasses on.
Turn up the heat too!

Get comfortable!
We will clear the cold right now
Be cozy as bugs.


I wrote another story of Haikus using all the phrases. This one is 216 words.

My name is Tessa Dean and I am an author and blogger. My writing styles vary and I love writing using prompts. I am also writing my first book, a Memoir entitled "Government Property - A Memoir of a Military Wife".  This is being published on the blog rather than the traditional way.
