Write Here, Write Now – prompt for the Daily Post

Write Here, Write Now

Write a post entirely in the present tense.

________________________________________

I must write a post entirely in the present tense. My mind whirls with ideas for this post.

I drink the water that is portioned out for the day.

I think of a few ideas for new posts, be it stories or articles.

I feed the cat to get her to be quiet.

I crave the taste of soda and caffeine right now. I want another soda.

I use my inhaler for my asthma.

The cat is finally sleeping and quiet.

I research on homelessness and disabled living facilities for the future.

I think of more ideas to put in this post about the present tense.

My mind is dwelling on the cheesecake I had with dinner. I want more now.

This exercise is done.

This is not as easy as it sounds and I am not sure I have everything in the present tense.

About Tessa

My name is Tessa Dean and I am an author and blogger. My writing styles vary and I love writing using prompts. I am also writing my first book, a Memoir entitled "Government Property - A Memoir of a Military Wife".  This is being published on the blog rather than the traditional way. I am putting up chapters as I go along. I keep my blog filled with useful content, stories, and poems. Plenty to keep you busy. I have also been interviewed by blogs and had other posts published on many different blogs. I also wrote a series of articles on Bipolar Disorder for IBPF (International Bipolar Foundation). I am in my 60’s and disabled which allows me plenty of time to write to my heart’s content. I live in southern New Jersey and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild is a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps.

Is this anything like stream of consciousness? Just wondering.

You know I guess it is in a way. I do one of them as a prompt on Saturdays, usually written on Friday. on the other blog. You are just supposed to write on a topic. Not research it or think about it, just write it.
