Literary Lion Prompt – Falling
Falling

I walk cautiously, yet I fall.
I dare not try to walk the mall.
I seriously tried the medical field to see,
If they could figure out what’s wrong with me.
No answers came to anyone at all,
all they had found was that I’d fall.
I never know when my balance would go,
And down I’d fall trying to land just so.
My usual fall is on the street
And I’d come up looking beat.
Luckily no drivers came,
I couldn’t bear the shame.
Falling looks like I’m trying to fly,
Arms and legs flailing here to nigh.

Greetings from a Literary Lion on holiday! Whilst packing for my little Spanish vacaciones I remembered to tuck one of our lion’s words into my suitcase. I found an appropriate setting for its capture today, whilst I was trudging the Andalusian hike of the Rio Chiller, which saw me wading through water and tumbling onto what are now a pair of very bruised knees until I reached our word of the week… ‘Fall‘.
As always, you have two weeks to tell your tales in 400 words or less. Remember to tag ‘Literary Lion’ in your post, pingback to this post and all you Instagrammers and twitterers, don’t forget to give me a mention.

I love that line about it looking as though you’re trying to fly, it suggests the narrator might just love to fly away… great piece.

Thank you. Flying away would be less painful than falling down. LOL!
