#WeekendCoffeeShare: It’s Almost October!

If we were having coffee. I would opt for hot tea this morning as our weather has turned to fall temperatures finally. The leaves should be turning colors soon and then the raking begins.

I would tell you that yesterday I had my usual brunch with my BFF and we had a decent waiter for once. They can’t seem to hire anyone that can handle a job waiting tables. It has been awful most of the time since our favorite waitress left to get a nursing job. We have been going there for at least 6, maybe 7 years every Saturday morning.

I would tell you that I have been working on my blog themes (including new headers I made all by myself) and that WordPress was doing a real number on me and half their bloggers. I couldn’t get my widgets to work and they are one of the hardest parts of setting up a blog. Happy to say they seem to be alright now and I got most of them back to where I wanted them. It actually wiped them out once and I had to start over. I started saving after every move I made.

Then I would tell you that I started work on my second blog post for IBPF. The first one hasn’t been published yet and I am getting anxious. I want to see it published. However, it could still be awhile so I am working on number 2. I have the frame in, need a picture and just need to edit it and make sure I have things the way I want them and cut a few words. I always go over the word count and just like my prompt stories have to cut it down. The practice with the stories has helped me with cutting these blog posts down to the required size. It’s amazing what you can cut and still have a full story, same with the blog posts.

I would also tell you that I tried a meet and greet for writers/poets as an assignment for Blogging 201 through WordPress and I got exactly one link. I would say that was a bust. I will look on the good side of that and say look at all the work I missed by not having a ton of links to read and re-blog. A lot of my followers write stories and/or poems should have had a few of them at least. Hey I failed and I am happy about it. That’s never happened before LOL!

Hope you had a great weekend and see you next weekend!

Your new header looks fab. Glad you managed to get things working as you wanted them to, I always have a great sense of achievement when I get difficult techie things to work properly. Hope you’re having a great week.

Thank you! It was a pain while dealing with WP and its changes at the same time. I had to do double work on the one, the story one. The other one I just made a new header and changed the color. The other one I had to change the theme first and then start working on it and it went nuts on me. All is well today. Thanks!
