Groundhog Day – prompt for the Daily Post

Groundhog Day

In the comedy “Groundhog Day” Bill Murray experienced the same day again and again, stuck in a time loop until he got the day “right.” What day would you choose to repeat until you got it right? Do you think it’s ever possible to get life “right”?

I would like to relive the day I lost my virginity. It would end with me not losing it that day and probably single again, but oh well, he ruined my life with that ending.

I believe we live our lives over as others until we learn all the lessons that we are meant to learn. I believe in re-incarnation. If we don’t learn the lessons in this lifetime we go on to another one to repeat it again.

I am also writing my first book, a Memoir entitled "Government Property - A Memoir of a Military Wife".  This is being published on the blog rather than the traditional way. I am putting up chapters as I go along. I keep my blog filled with useful content, stories, and poems. Plenty to keep you busy. I have also been interviewed by blogs and had other posts published on many different blogs. I also wrote a series of articles on Bipolar Disorder for IBPF (International Bipolar Foundation). I am in my 60’s and disabled which allows me plenty of time to write to my heart’s content. I live in southern New Jersey and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild is a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps.

  1. I love the movie, “Groundhog Day.” I wish I were as brave as you to say bluntly what it is you would have changed in your life. I tend to be a bit more cowardly and just let my “fiction” speak…perhaps one day, I can learn to be more freeing.
