“Judy and John – The Cave Safe Zone”

By Teresa Smeigh February 2016

Cindy and Judy checked out the cave while Gina eyed the injured pilot. She had basic first aid from her military training, more than the guys since she was female, but she was afraid to touch him. He was resting comfortably the way he was at the moment.

While Gina was reflecting on her first move, the other girls were looking for supplies or something they could use. The cave seemed mostly filled with drugs and alcohol. How could the guys think this was safe? Judy thought.

“What is today?” Judy asked suddenly.

“Today?” both Cindy and Gina said together. “Who cares?” they both continued and shrugged.

“No, really, what is today?”

“It’s February 5th, why?” Gina finally answered her. This girl’s a bimbo although she can shoot and throw knives almost better than I.

“Oh darn, I wish I had my luggage,” she said morosely.

“Ok I know I will be sorry I asked this Judy, but why do you need your luggage?” Gina looked fed up with the conversation and that stopped Judy only momentarily.

“Look today is National Wear Red Day or National Shower with a Friend Day and my red outfit is on the plane.”

Gina said, “Well you better find red to wear real quick because I am not showering with you or Cindy period.”

“Hey Girlie don’t be too sure of that,” laughed a man.

All three girls turned around and looked towards the opening. There was a man they had never seen before, lounging with a gun pointed at them.

Judy and Cindy said nothing. Gina was the military recon here. Gina looked startled and lost without her gun handy. John had said they left guns in the cave for them, then again old Johnny boy had said they would be safe here too. How did this guy find them so fast?

“Who are you?” demanded Gina. Just what we need!

“Well Girlie, not that it’s any of your business, but I am the guard of this cave with our supplies. Seems your boyfriends got us all a little drunk yesterday and helped you escape your locked room and now you’re all mine. All three of you actually. Seems your boyfriends aren’t too smart to not think we would keep a guard on this stuff.”

“Maybe you can clear something up for us?” Gina questioned, keeping her eye on Warrior who was just lying in the back of the cave with his head on his paws though alert for a signal.

“What Girlie girl, man you’re beautiful.”

“Do you want Boaz to get his stash and put him in jail or do you want him to join forces as he has a pretty good operation going?”

“We don’t care about Boaz, we just want his operation and stash.”

Gina gave a hand signal and the dog sprang into action and took the unwarned soldier down and Gina grabbed the gun.

“We need something to tie him up.”

Judy and Cindy reached under their shirts and pulled out their bras as ties. Judy’s was red.

Gina sighs, “There was your red all along and if you’re wearing a matching set you still have red on.”

Judy blushed.

The episode idea is a good one. John being called Johnny is the only thing that really pulled me out of the story this week. Other than what an editor would catch this was a good one.

One suggestion I have is maybe when using the National Day prompt, it would have been good to have the guard say something about it being National Wear Red Day or something like that. It would make him even more disgusting and sound more natural in the story.
