Shooting Idiot

Spring into action!

Shot through, missed.

Spring shot,

Through the air and missed again.

Reached for gun again.

About Tessa

Teresa (Tessa) Smeigh at 60 plus is still going strong despite her disabilities affecting both physical and mental abilities. She has bipolar disorder (mental), Fibromyalgia (nerves), degenerative disc disease (spine), and arthritis (joints). Her new journey's include Diabetes controlled by insulin. She is also working on 2 fiction books (mysteries). The books will probably never be finished. She keeps her blog filled with useful content, occasional devotionals (She is a Christian), stories and poems. Plenty to keep you busy.   1. Have you ever seen the film ‘Deerhunter’ – a brilliant film. Robert DeNiro’s character has one rule when his buddies go on their hunting weekends: USE ONE BULLET FOR ONE SHOT. He feels if you can’t be sure to take the deer down with one shot then you don’t take it. The deer gets a pass. Your poem makes me think of this when you write ‘Reach for gun again.’ I found it an amusing line and ‘Deerhunter’ popped into my mind. A curious poem. Were you writing the last line to hope for a successful conclusion or just out of frustration? – jk
