#WeekendCoffeeShare: In Which We Say Hello

Welcome to my weekend coffee share. It is Sunday already. It is too hot so something cool to drink perhaps.

If we were talking I would tell you about my Diabetes struggle. I may have to get a new dr as this one doesn’t seem to care that my blood sugars are up in the 300’s even fasting. My lowest was yesterday at 196, and this mornings at 207. However, they are still not good numbers. I get my blood work tomorrow. Then I am going to force him to treat me or fire him and find an endocrinologist.

I am trying to eat healthily, but have a problem with most healthy foods. Maybe I should find recipes for low carb desserts. They are my biggest problem. I need to seriously find recipes for meals as well. My son is easily switching to healthy foods, but I am still fighting it due to taste. I have to be starving and know that I won’t have any more food for me to fight my way through it. A hospital stay is an example of that.

I would also tell you that my daughter has done a logo and header for my other blog so far (http://www.tessacandoit.com) and will do one soon for this blog.

I have talked to a new blog friend about maybe taking a trip to see Fortescue, NJ together. I was there as a child as my grandparents had a house there. I want to see if I can find it.

I would also tell you how hard it is to plan a family barbeque. Everybody has different times off. I wanted to do it since my therapists think it is good for me to stop isolating and join the family. I turned them down so much that they have sort of come to ignore me a lot more. What I wanted, but now that it is happening I am not as happy about it that I thought I would be. Feeling a little lost.

  2. I think we feel the same about our doctors. I am going to get serious about a new PCP. I am even going to find one who uses the other Families can be a blessing and other times a problem. hospital. Good luck with your current one. Hugs!

    Thanks for sharing Tessa. I know it is a struggle. I failed at my BS food plan. It’s a good one, I just kept screwing up. But I will do it again. Just hang in there. Probably endocrinologist is route to go.
