The Holidays!

I hate the crowded stores,
not knowing what to buy.

I hate the hustle and bustle,
people pushing as they go by.

Christmas Eve is our special night,
Family gathered all close nearby.




About Tessa

Teresa (Tessa) Smeigh at 60 plus is still going strong despite her disabilities affecting both physical and mental abilities. She has bipolar disorder (mental), Fibromyalgia (nerves), degenerative disc disease (spine), and arthritis (joints). Her new journey's include Diabetes controlled by insulin. She is also working on 2 fiction books (mysteries). The books will probably never be finished.     I read your comment on my piece. I get what you are saying exactly. The shopping part is awful. But close family is the BEST! I think you expressed the holiday paradox perfectly.

    Next year . . . have a shopping strike. And just gather everyone together for games, movies, laughs, fun, and food.

      Hope you had a great time. Ours had a little tension, one set of cousins doesn’t get along well with the other 2 sets. but we made it through in one piece. Happy New Year!
