Nerd in the Brain – week end coffee share where I brag about my grandson

Pull up a chair and select a beverage. I don’t drink coffee so plenty to choose from.

It we were having coffee I would tell you how proud I am of my grandson who just graduated from boot camp with a meritorious promotion to PFC. He was also the top combined recruit with CFT/PFT (one of the top 5 runners and expert marksman). I was supposed to go on the trip with my daughter, but my health raised a ruckus and it wasn’t to be.

If we were having coffee I would tell you how watching my sugars has caused me to lose weight which is a very good thing. My numbers are better under control, but still need some tweaking of meds. I also use a Fitbit now to keep track of my walking and how many steps I have walked.

And the most interesting thing is that I have refound a grade school friend and we’re both 60 now. He was my childhood sweetheart til we moved when I was about 11.
