The Doll of Horror!
Written by Teresa Dean Smeigh

The doll was as big as the child.
Dressed alike they looked so wild.
You would never know the doll beguiled
Until you saw her fake smile reviled.
She sat on a shelf made just for her.
She waited patiently, an ambusher.
With her hammer she became a basher.
The hammer made her even brasher.
She snuck into the parents room.
The room was dark and full of gloom.
She was quick and started to zoom.
Dressed in her masquerade costume.
She bashed their heads in slickly.
For a doll she moved ever so quickly.
She was covered in blood thickly.
She didn’t feel the least bit prickly.

Rules:
You challenge this week is to write a descriptive paragraph. I want to know the details of some scary scene fit for Halloween. The gory, gruesome, morbid details of something terrifying. I’m twisted like that. This week doesn’t have to be something appropriate for all ages if you don’t want it to be. I do ask, though, that you make your paragraph 100 words or more, just to dive into the more minute details of what you are trying to describe to your readers.
You have until noon (PST) on Friday, October 23rd
Write the paragraph and post it on your blog, website, whatever you use to share your writing online and comment with a link to it here on this post so that everyone can find it. This is also open to anyone who wants to create a poem rather than a story. So if you’re more a poet than a storyteller, feel free to join in as well.
