A Mother’s Love – Poem

A Mother’s Love – by Tessa Dean (2015)

Mother I feel your love

surrounding me now.

Is it my thoughts of you

that bring you forth to

comfort me?

I still miss you, you know?

I miss our talks and your

great wisdom.

You were my best friend,

you brushed away my tears with

a gentle touch.

You helped me through

the rough spots.

Mother I feel your love

surrounding me now.

About Tessa

My name is Tessa Dean and I am an author and blogger. My writing styles vary and I love writing using prompts. I am also writing my first book, a Memoir entitled "Government Property - A Memoir of a Military Wife".  This is being published on the blog rather than the traditional way. I am putting up chapters as I go along. I keep my blog filled with useful content, stories, and poems. Plenty to keep you busy. I have also been interviewed by blogs and had other posts published on many different blogs. I also wrote a series of articles on Bipolar Disorder for IBPF (International Bipolar Foundation). I am in my 60’s and disabled which allows me plenty of time to write to my heart’s content. I live in southern New Jersey and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild is a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps.

Oh! I simply LOVE poems! When I saw that you wrote a poem, I was excitedly making a weird “Ah ah aha haa gha” or some other noise, I can’t really put it in words ,LOL.

Besides that, this is a LOVELY poem 🙂 Such a beautiful poem. I will keep it along with my other fav poems :*

Thank you Mon, glad you enjoyed it and I love that you will put it with your other favorite poems. I write stories and poems. I started Finally a Writer first and then Tessa Can Do It! All poems written for Tessa get put on Finally a Writer as well, including stories.

  2. A lovely poem, Tessa. I love poetry (can’t write it, but I love it) as most poems come from that sequestered place called, the heart. And it doesn’t get much deeper than that. :O)
